In a move I hoped but didn't actually expect to make, I traded in the egg mobile for a shiny, new Toyota! It's so pretty! I can't believe it's actually mine. *g* Even this morning when I took it for it's first real drive on my morning commute, it felt like I was driving someone else's vehicle. As I told my best friend on Friday, I just didn't see myself driving anything other then the Chevy to work this morning. I'd actually been looking at used vehicles. A new one didn't even cross my mind until someone pointed out it made just as much sense since I was looking for a used 2003 or 2004. So I went, I test drove, I fell in love and I bought. I had a quick moment of panic when the reality of taking on car payments sunk in but I quickly reminded myself that it's worth it. Plus, after having my first two vehicles bought for me, it's nice to be doing this one on my own. When all is said and done, I'm extremely happy with my decision and just as happy with the car.

Keeping with the theme of 'new' we also added another four-legged member to our family. A baby kitty (of yet undetermined sex) named Onion. So named because my sister got him at an Onion Festival. It's been decided that we've never seen a cat that small who was as sweet as Onion is. The cat definitely has a lot of personality and attitude, making him fit right into the household.

Although slightly crazy, this was definitely one of the best weekends I've had in awhile. And more good things (job wise) may be on the way! Hopefully before my upcoming vacation. WooHoo!

eta: Work related good things actually do seem to be on the move and that makes me an even happier person.
